XRP trading and deposits to be halted tomorrow (US customers)
As previously announced, Bitstamp will be halting all trading and deposits of XRP for US customers tomorrow, 8 January 2021, at 9 PM UTC.

US customers will still be able to withdraw XRP from Bitstamp. Customers from other countries will not be affected.

When the halt begins at 9 PM UTC, the following steps will be taken:

1. Order placing will be disabled.
You will not be able to place any orders on XRP markets, but it will still be possible to cancel orders. You will be able to withdraw XRP to an external address even after the trading halt.

2. Deposits will be disabled.
XRP deposit addresses will be removed from all interfaces. You should not send any deposits to your account during the halt. If you nevertheless receive a deposit, Bitstamp will send you an email with further instructions.

3. Open orders will be canceled.
Any remaining open orders on XRP pairs will be canceled. Bitstamp will cancel orders gradually over the course of approximately one hour.
