Winding down ALGO staking on Bitstamp

The Algorand network is transitioning from its governance rewards program to a new consensus rewards program as part of the Algorand 4.0 protocol upgrade. Because of this change, Bitstamp will no longer support ALGO staking from April 1, 2025.
What this means for you
As we wind down ALGO staking on Bitstamp, here’s what you can expect:
End of ALGO staking on April 1, 2025
From April 1, ALGO staking will no longer be supported on Bitstamp. ALGO you hold in your wallet will remain unchanged, but you will no longer receive staking rewards for it. Additionally, ALGO will no longer appear among staked assets under the Earn section. No action is required on your part; this update will take effect automatically.
Final staking rewards payout on April 14, 2025
You’ll receive your final ALGO staking rewards on this date. This payout will cover all rewards accrued for the January to March 2025 period. Since ALGO will no longer be listed under staked assets in the Earn section, you’ll find your rewards for this period recorded in your transaction history.
Your ALGO holdings remain unchanged
Other than the removal of staking, nothing else changes with your ALGO holdings. You can continue to hold, trade, withdraw, or use your ALGO on Bitstamp as usual.
