Acceptance of the Terms

By participating in the Bitstamp Giveaway: Discount coupon for Paris Blockchain Week Summit (“Giveaway”) you agree to accept and comply with the terms of this Giveaway (“Giveaway Terms”).

You should read the entire Giveaway Terms carefully before participating in the Giveaway.

As used in these Giveaway Terms, “Bitstamp” refers to Bitstamp Europe S.A., a payment institution authorized and regulated by the Luxembourg financial regulator, the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier, registered with the Luxembourg Trade and Companies Register under the number B196856, VAT number LU27823117, with its registered address at 21-25, allée Scheffer, L-2520, Luxembourg, Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.

Giveaway period

Giveaway will be active from Tuesday, March 29, 2022, from the time of posting the LinkedIn post announcing the Giveaway on official Bitstamp LinkedIn account until Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at 23:59 UTC.

Who can participate?

Each physical person with a LinkedIn account who is above 18 years old can participate.

Bitstamp’s employees and their immediate families, associated agents, and anyone personally connected with Giveaway or with the prize draw are not eligible to participate.

How to participate?

To enter the Giveaway, you need to comment under this post on LinkedIn with “Count me in!”.

Only one entry per participant, per LinkedIn account is permitted.

Prize

Winners of the Giveaway will receive 30 % discount coupon for Paris Blockchain Week Summit (the “Prize”).

Winners’ selection

Five (5) winners (the “Winners”) will be randomly selected by prize drawing on Thursday, March 31, 2022.

If five (5) or less than five (5) participants take part in the Giveaway, all those participants will be designated as Winners.

After the selection of the Winners, Winners will be vetted against the eligibility criteria of this Terms. Non-eligible Winners will be disqualified, and another Winner(s) will be selected in line with these Terms. If anyhow, no Winner satisfies the eligibility criteria, Bitstamp will not distribute the Prize.

Notification of the Winners

Winners will be announced on Thursday, 31 March 2022 at 08:00 UTC in a LinkedIn post on Bitstamp’s LinkedIn account by being tagged as the Winners in the comment to the initial LinkedIn post announcing the Giveaway.

Claiming of the Prize

The Winners must claim their Prize by reaching out to Bitstamp via direct message on LinkedIn by Thursday, March 31, 2022, 17:00 UTC. In case any of the Winners do not claim the Prize by the deadline, the Prize will be given to the next participant eligible for receiving the Prize based on these Terms.

After Winner claims the Prize, Bitstamp will send the coupon code by replying to the direct message of the Winner claiming the Prize, as soon as viable after receiving the Winner’s message, however the latest by Thursday, March 31, 2022, 18:00 UTC.

Redemption of Prize

The coupon codes are redeemable before Friday, April 1, 2022 at 00:00 UTC on the official event registration website: https://www.pbwsummit.com/euro-registration with any of the event tickets available by entering the coupon code as the “Promotion Code”.

Bitstamp will not bear any liability if the Winner does not use the Prize within the deadline for any reason whatsoever.

Reservations

Bitstamp will not be covering any costs related to the attendance of the Winner at the Paris Blockchain Week Summit. Any such costs are the responsibility of each Winner.

Bitstamp may at its sole discretion at any time:

• disqualify the Participant and/or not award the Prize if participant violates these Giveaway Terms; undermines operation of the Giveaway; threatens to other participants and/or Bitstamp; performs any other action deemed unfair by Bitstamp;
• modify the Terms and/or cancel the Giveaway;
• accept any other appropriate measures to protect legitimate operation of this Giveaway and Bitstamp’s interests.

Limitation of liability

To the extent that it is permitted by law, Bitstamp excludes all liability whether arising in tort, contract or otherwise for any personal injury or any other loss or damage, including without limitation loss of opportunity or loss of profits, whether direct, indirect, special, or consequential, arising in any way out of the Giveaway, including, without limitation to:

• any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under Bitstamp’s control);
• any entry that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of Bitstamp;
• any tax implications; or
• the Prize or use of the Prize.

Data Protection

Participants hereby consents to processing of personal data by Bitstamp as are available on each participant’s LinkedIn account (namely name, surname) for the purpose of administrating the Giveaway and to distribute the Prizes to the Winners.

All personal data are processed by Bitstamp in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

Miscellaneous

If any provision of this Giveaway Terms become invalid, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining Giveaway Terms.

The participant may at any time withdraw from the participation by sending a notice to support@bitstamp.net.

Complaints and claims relating to the Giveaway must be addressed exclusively to the Bitstamp via support@bitstamp.net.
