Upcoming changes to selected crypto assets for EU/EEA customers

As we work toward obtaining our MiCA license, we’re adjusting the selection of cryptocurrencies available on our platform for customers in the European Union (EU) and European Economic Area (EEA).
This means that SGB, FLR, EGLD, ICP, and XDC will no longer be supported in these regions, though they will remain available in other jurisdictions.
What’s changing and when?
Here are the key dates to keep in mind:
- April 1, 2025: Deposits for these assets will be disabled.
- April 9, 2025: Trading and withdrawals will be disabled.
We recommend that you sell or withdraw your holdings in these assets before the deadline to maintain full control over your funds.
If any of these assets remain in your account after April 9, your balance will be automatically converted to EUR. No other assets on your account will be affected. Right now, we’re also actively working on a solution for XDC and will share more updates as soon as they’re available.
We understand that this change may be inconvenient, and we appreciate your patience. Bitstamp remains committed to providing a secure, reliable, and compliant trading environment.
